The storm caused hundreds of trees to be knocked down, resulting in damage to multiple buildings and vehicles. No serious injuries have been reported, but one building and three cabins had to be evacuated and remain closed for repairs.
The storm caused a 24-hour power outage at the hotel and clinic, and debris had to be cleared from campgrounds and roads. The affected areas include Lake Hotel, Lake Lodge, Lake Medical Clinic, Lake General Store, Lake employee housing areas, Bridge Bay Campground, and the marina. The National Weather Service recorded a 73-mph wind gust in Teton County, where a significant portion of the park is located. Clean-up efforts are expected to continue into the following week.
