White Desert is thrilled to announce the upcoming addition of a ‘Wellness Dome’ at their Whichaway Camp. This new feature will be located with a view of the frozen lake and glacial icefall, offering an immersive experience through expansive clear windows that showcase the breathtaking natural landscape of Antarctica. Guests can partake in group activities or enjoy the space alone, fostering a deeper connection with themselves and the earth.
Complementing Whichaway’s existing sauna, the Wellness Dome will provide a unique and holistic approach to wellness in Antarctica’s harsh yet extraordinary environment. A biokineticist will be on-site to help guests align their bodies after outdoor adventures, and a dedicated instructor will guide guests through breathwork and meditation, nurturing both mind and soul. The dome is being designed and constructed near White Desert’s Headquarters in Cape Town and is scheduled for completion by the next season in December 2024.
