As wellness becomes increasingly central to our lives, wellness-based travel is anticipated to reach $1 trillion in 2024, according to the Global Wellness Institute. With physical, mental, and emotional well-being at the forefront, a wellness-focused getaway offers the perfect opportunity to achieve a state of tranquility.
In celebration of a month dedicated to peace of mind, hotels and resorts worldwide are offering exclusive packages designed to promote well-being.
Zemi Beach House, a boutique hotel on the island of Anguilla, invites guests to embark on a digital detox with their Disconnect Experience. Upon arrival, guests are offered a complimentary “detox juice” in exchange for their personal devices, which are securely stored for the duration of their stay. Rooms are stocked with local books, magazines, and board games for old-fashioned entertainment, while a disposable camera is provided to capture unforgettable moments. This experience can be added to any of Zemi’s existing promotional packages or daily rates.
Zemi Beach House is also home to the 307-year-old Thai House Spa, originally built in Thailand and meticulously reassembled in Anguilla in the 1970s. Since opening in 2016, the spa has offered five treatment suites, a Hammam, and the Juice Bar, which was once a rice barn in the oldest part of the house. Notably, Zemi’s Thai House Spa is the only Hammam in Anguilla.
Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, Los Cabos, elevates sleep with their Suite Solaz Slumber Package. Guests can request their Artisan Butlers to prepare a Magnesium Bath Flakes bath in a candle-lit bathroom, enhancing melatonin production and balancing circadian rhythms, along with a hydrating “sleepy girl mocktail” featuring cherry juice, magnesium, and prebiotic seltzer. Solaz’s Ojo de Liebre Spa offers 12 private treatment rooms, including 4 VIP double treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, chromotherapy showers, and more. The spa concierge team provides customized wellness programs that encompass massages, breath work classes, detox programs, and green cooking classes. Solaz also features two Wellness Suites focused on relaxation and whole-body therapy, with amenities such as a double-bed massage table, steam room, heated loungers, meditation visors, and halotherapy.
At Hotel AKA Brickell’s Leaf Spa, guests are treated to a special seasonal menu for National Wellness Month, guiding them through a transformative journey of holistic healing.
As wellness remains a driving force for travelers, developers are enhancing wellness and spa offerings, like those at The Residences at the St. Regis Los Cabos, which will introduce new and unique treatments to the region.
