During this event, women adorned in traditional medieval attire partake in dance, guided by the “Sotadera,” a figure representing a Moorish woman who imparts knowledge of Muslim traditions. The procession commences from the Town Hall square and proceeds to the cathedral. Dignitaries responsible for presenting an offering to the Virgin accompany the ceremonial macebearers in this vibrant and historically significant ceremony.
