This ranking reveals which Asian nations are making the biggest splash when it comes to booking stays with refreshing swimming pools. According to Agoda’s search data, India takes the plunge for the top spot, with holidaymakers there most likely to seek out accommodations boasting inviting pools to beat the heat.
A new study by Agoda dives deep into Asia’s travel habits, uncovering a “Pool Paradise” pecking order. Analyzing search trends across ten Asian markets, Agoda discovered that Indian travelers reign supreme as the splash-seekers, with the highest percentage using search filters to prioritize properties with sparkling swimming pools. Hot on their heels are South Koreans, followed by Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines to complete the top five. Interestingly, the allure of a pool appears less prominent in Japan and Taiwan, while Indonesia, Vietnam, and Singapore round out the list with the lowest focus on pool facilities when choosing accommodations.
