Alyeska Resort is thrilled to announce its inclusion in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards, recognized among the 15 Favorite Resorts in the West for 2024. Entering its second season as part of the IKON Pass, Alyeska Resort has also unveiled the new Black Diamond Club, offering exclusive luxury accommodations, services, and amenities on the resort’s 8th floor. Last season’s remarkable snowfall, exceeding 700 inches, attracted skiers from across the Lower 48 and Europe, as other mountain resorts faced snow shortages and warmer conditions. Alyeska Resort typically enjoys substantial snowfall throughout the winter, with November (92 inches), December (130 inches), January (120 inches), February (103 inches), March (104 inches), and April (85 inches) providing an exceptional experience for winter sports enthusiasts.
Mount Alyeska, a true winter wonderland, offers skiers the added benefit of its sea-level base, providing ample oxygen and energy for a day on the slopes. The resort features ideal conditions for various winter activities, ensuring an exhilarating experience. Beyond skiing, visitors can enjoy snowshoeing, fat tire biking, and even catch a glimpse of the northern lights. Alyeska Resort caters to every guest with 299 beautifully appointed hotel rooms. For the 2024/25 season, the resort has renovated its suites and introduced the new Black Diamond Club (BDC), located on the top floor and accessible only by keycard. The renovation includes 36 new rooms, from 325 sq. ft. club rooms to a 1,971 sq. ft. glacier presidential suite, each equipped with a 50-inch smart TV, Nespresso machine, Dyson hair dryer, luxury jersey robes and slippers, Bamford bathroom amenities, premium linens, and a pillow menu. The BDC lounge offers breathtaking views of glaciers and the Chugach Mountains, along with a dedicated team to assist with daily activities and a VIP Ski Valet during winter. BDC guests also enjoy a complimentary breakfast buffet and afternoon après-ski canapés and refreshments. Additionally, the BDC provides access to the hotel’s helipad for heli and cat skiers, offering convenient entry to the Chugach Mountain range’s vast terrain, including alpine bowls, mountain faces, glaciers, sheltered trees, and steep powder skiing.
