The Association of Hospitality Professionals (AHP), a nonprofit dedicated to promoting excellence in the hospitality industry, proudly announces the seventh edition of the AHP Hospitality Challenge and Awards – 2024. This esteemed event remains a premier platform for honoring and celebrating the outstanding talent and creativity of young hospitality professionals.
Scheduled to commence soon, the AHP Hospitality Challenge and Awards – 2024 will feature a series of dynamic competitions. These competitions are designed to assess participants’ skills across various operational areas within the hotel industry. Highlights include the Culinary Challenge, Front Office Master, Art of Bed Making, Art of Towel Folding, War of Spirits, Art of Table Setting, Hospitality Challenge (Student Category), and the second edition of the Hospitality Challenge (Specially Abled Category). The events will take place at prestigious venues such as the Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Indian Hotel Academy, The Surya Hotel, Radisson Blu, and The Park in New Delhi.
The theme for the AHP Hospitality Challenge 2024 is Sustainability in Hospitality, reflecting the industry’s increasing emphasis on environmentally responsible practices in India.

The Front Office Master competition will be held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Paschim Vihar on July 2. Following this, from July 3 to 5, the Culinary Challenge will be hosted by the Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology. Moving on to July 8, The Surya Hotel will host the War of Spirits and Art of Table Setting competitions. Finally, concluding the series of events, The Park Hotel will be the venue for the Art of Bed Making and Art of Towel Folding competitions on July 9.
Ms. Devipshita Gautam, Founder & General Secretary of AHP, emphasized the organization’s dedication to fostering young talent and inclusivity: “We are expecting over 300 participants in the under-20 category this year, a testament to the growing enthusiasm and talent among young hospitality professionals. Moreover, the second session of the Specially Abled Category highlights our unwavering commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity. This category not only celebrates the diverse abilities within our industry but also sets a benchmark for recognizing and honoring the exceptional contributions of specially-abled individuals. We believe that such initiatives are crucial in driving the hospitality industry towards a more inclusive and diverse future, where every individual’s talent is acknowledged and celebrated.”
Following the competitions, AHP is set to host the eagerly awaited AHP Hospitality Excellence Awards 2024 on July 25, 2024, at the Airforce Auditorium in New Delhi. This prestigious event will gather distinguished hoteliers, restaurateurs, celebrated chefs, hospitality experts, corporate leaders, and media representatives. The awards ceremony honors the remarkable contributions of industry pioneers who are shaping the future of hospitality.
