Azores Airlines will expand its offer of direct flights between Ponta Delgada (Azores) and Montreal, Ponta Delgada and Faro, Ponta Delgada and Milan throughout the winter season.
These three air operations, which began in April (Montreal) and June (Milan and Faro), allow Azores Airlines to consolidate its presence in markets with high growth potential, offering travellers the possibility of visiting the Azores destination outside of the high season and, consequently, contributing to mitigate the seasonality of the destination.
At the same time, year after year, these Azores Airlines connections offer convenient options for those who wish to travel between Europe and North America with a stopover in the Azores.
The complementarity provided by the route connectivity allows for the expansion of the potential to explore point-to-point flights and balance tourist demand throughout the year.
From October 27, flights between Montreal and Ponta Delgada will be operated twice a week, on Mondays and Saturdays; direct flights between Faro and Ponta Delgada will take place on Thursdays and Sundays; and flights between Ponta Delgada and Milan will be operated weekly on Mondays.
The promotion of these itineraries to tour operators and agencies has been carried out throughout the summer, in collaboration with several local operators and thanks to familiarization trips to the Azores destination.
These have given travel agents, journalists, consultants and influencers the opportunity to appreciate on site, the best that the Azores destination has to offer.
The IATA winter timetable, including the new flights announced here, is now available on reservation systems.
Flights can also be purchased through the airline’s sales channels, as well as through travel agencies.
