Goombay Summer Festivals (July 4 – August 24, 2024)

The Goombay Summer Festivals, organized by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, celebrate Bahamian culture through live music, dance performances, art displays, and authentic cuisine.

Central Andros: Queen’s Park, Fresh Creek (August 3)

Eleuthera: Lower Bogue (August 10)

Eleuthera: Savannah Sound (August 24)

Eleuthera Extended Boating Fling (July 9 – 19, 2024)

Set sail for Eleuthera’s stunning turquoise waters and powdery white sands in an extended boating fling. All Boating Flings depart from Bahia Mar Marina in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, with events held Thursday to Sunday in June and July. A mandatory Captain’s meeting is held on Wednesdays before departure. Dockage space is first-come, first-served.

All Andros and Berry Islands Regatta (July 11 – 12, 2024)

Enjoy the excitement of traditional Bahamian wooden sloop racing, delicious Bahamian food, and live music at the All Andros and Berry Island Regatta. The event features races in A, B, and C classes over two days.

74th Bimini Native Fishing Tournament (August 1 – 3, 2024)

The Bimini Native Fishing Tournament, a tradition since the early 1950s, includes an opening ceremony, a full day of fishing, and an awards night. This family-friendly event invites anglers of all ages to participate.

Lobster Festival And Lionfish Derby (August 2 – 4, 2024)

Held in Great Harbour Cay, this festival celebrates the national Lobster Season and includes a hunt for the invasive Lionfish. Prizes are awarded for the largest lobster and most lionfish caught. The event features a variety of lobster dishes, a culinary competition, and a Junkanoo rush-out.
