HRAWI recently hosted the ‘Empowering Hospitality’ conclave on June 21st to celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding achievements of professionals in Gujarat’s hospitality industry. The event took place at The Grand Bhagwati in Ahmedabad, bringing together industry leaders to deliberate and advance key aspects of hospitality excellence. Mr. Nalinkumar Chaudhary, Director of Gujarat State Fire Prevention Services, Gandhinagar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
A notable highlight of the conclave was the recognition of Mr. Narendra Somani, EC member of HRAWI and Chairman & Managing Director of The Grand Bhagwati, Ahmedabad, for his significant contributions to Gujarat’s hospitality sector. In addition, Mr. Manohar S. Gurung, President of Madhuban Resort & Spa, Anand; Mr. Puneet Baijal, General Manager of Hyatt Regency, Ahmedabad; and Mr. Keenan Mckenzie, General Manager of ITC Narmada, Ahmedabad, were honored with the Sustainable Property Awards for their commendable efforts in integrating sustainability practices at their respective hotel properties.

The event honored several distinguished professionals for their exceptional contributions. Mr. Atul Budhraja, General Manager of Sankalp Group; Mr. Koustuv Mukherjee, General Manager of Pride Plaza, Ahmedabad; and Mr. Naveen Tomar, General Manager of Taj Vivanta, Ahmedabad, received the Best General Manager Award. The Best Chef Award was bestowed upon Chef Sujit Vora from The Grand Bhagwati, Chef Surya Narayan from Hyatt Regency, Ahmedabad, Chef Sudev Sharma from Taj Skyline, Ahmedabad, and Chef Archit Arora from Yi Jing, ITC Narmada. Additionally, ITC Narmada, Ahmedabad, was recognized as the Best Performing Hotel.
