IndiGo, India’s leading airline, is set to enhance its domestic network with the introduction of 10 new daily direct services connecting Hyderabad and Ahmedabad starting September 2024.
Launch of New Services: Starting September 16, enjoy direct flights daily between Hyderabad and Hirasar.
Restoration of Services: Direct services from Hyderabad to Udaipur and Jodhpur will resume on September 1 and September 3, respectively.
Increase in Flight Frequencies: From September 16, Ahmedabad to Amritsar, and from September 17, Ahmedabad to Bhubaneswar, will see additional flights.
These expansions are designed to improve connectivity within India, especially from Telangana’s and Gujarat’s capital cities, to meet the rising demand from both business and leisure travelers, as well as those embarking on spiritual journeys. These enhancements not only facilitate easier domestic travel but also improve connections to various Asian international destinations. Following this expansion, IndiGo will operate 1220 weekly direct flights from Hyderabad to 69 destinations and 523 from Ahmedabad to 35 destinations.

These new routes and frequencies will provide customers with even more options, streamlining accessibility and revitalising the demand for travel, within the region, and beyond. As India’s preferred carrier, we will continue to facilitate seamless travel through enhanced domestic connectivity, as we remain committed to our promise of providing on-time, affordable, courteous, and a hassle-free travel experience, across our wide network.”
IndiGo has also been instrumental in linking Hyderabad with key Southeast Asian destinations like Bangkok, Male, Ras Al Khaimah, Singapore, and Colombo, positioning Hyderabad as a significant regional hub. The Telangana state government is leveraging these connections to boost tourism through diverse initiatives targeting eco-tourism, spiritual visits, and health-related travel, offering easier access to local attractions including Char Minar and Golconda Fort among others.
Hirasar, located in Gujarat, serves as a vital link to the city of Rajkot and the broader Saurashtra region, opening up numerous tourist opportunities in areas like the ISKCON temple and Jubilee garden in Rajkot.
Udaipur captivates visitors with its iconic lakes and palatial structures, while Jodhpur, the famed “Blue City,” offers a mix of cultural heritage and modern industry, with attractions such as Mehrangarh Fort and Umaid Bhawan Palace.
Amritsar, a pivotal cultural and economic center in Punjab, is renowned for its historic sites, including the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. Ahmedabad, known for its significant industrial and economic contributions, also boasts attractions along the Sabarmati River like the Sabarmati Ashram and Bhadra Fort.
Lastly, Bhubaneswar, Odisha’s capital, draws visitors with its ancient temples and vibrant cultural scene, with sites like the Lingaraj and Rajarani Temples enhancing its appeal as a major tourist and industrial hub.
