Karnataka Tourism marked a significant achievement at the 2024 India International Travel Mart (IITM) in Bengaluru, which took place from July 26th to July 28th at the Tripura Vasini, Palace Ground in Bengaluru. This event served as a splendid stage for presenting the state’s wide array of tourist attractions, captivating the attention of industry professionals and creating a buzz.

At the event, Karnataka Tourism distinguished itself by securing two esteemed accolades. The state was celebrated with the “Culinary Tourism Destination of the Year” award, acknowledging its vibrant and varied gastronomic culture. Additionally, Karnataka earned the “Host State” award, a testament to its outstanding promotion of tourism and superior hospitality, bolstering its reputation as a top tourist spot in India.

The exhibition highlighted Karnataka’s cultural wealth, scenic beauty, and varied experiences. The Karnataka Tourism Pavilion was a hub of activity, drawing attendees keen to discover more about places like Mysore, Coorg, Hampi, and the state’s coastal areas.

Dr. K.V. Rajendra, the Director of Tourism and Managing Director of KSTDC, led the delegation from Karnataka Tourism, accompanied by key industry figures. Special guests at the Pavilion included Dr. Jayanta Kumar Ray, IAS – Secretary (Tourism) of Puducherry, and Shri. K. Lakshminarayanan, the Tourism Minister of Puducherry.

The Karnataka team engaged in productive dialogues with local tour operators and travel agents during the event, aiming to enhance connections and develop new alliances that could further boost tourist visits to the state.
