MATATO Joins MMPRC and NHGAM to Promote Destination Maldives at Asian Tourism Fair 2024

The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has partnered with the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) and the National Hotel and Guesthouse Association of Maldives (NGHAM) to promote Destination Maldives at the Asian Tourism Fair (ATF Dhaka) 2024. This collaboration aims to enhance tourism development and increase arrivals from the burgeoning Bangladeshi outbound market.

Together, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation, The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators , and National Hotel and Guesthouse Association of Maldives will create a comprehensive Maldives stand at Asian Tourism Fair . This stand will showcase a diverse array of offerings from world-class resorts, hotels, guesthouses, and tour operators. Additionally, it will highlight the Maldives’ pristine natural beauty, rich marine life, and exceptional hospitality, providing a platform to promote the country’s local tourism offerings.

Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation , stated, “One of the key objectives for Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation this year is to explore new markets and segments. We believe that Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators joining Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation and National Hotel and Guesthouse Association of Maldives will enable us to more effectively showcase the Maldives as a preferred holiday destination in the promising Bangladeshi market.”

Scheduled to take place from September 19-21, 2024, at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, ATF-Dhaka is a premier platform for industry stakeholders to network, collaborate, and explore new business opportunities. With Bangladesh being a relatively new market for the Maldives tourism industry, this fair presents a significant opportunity to showcase the unique offerings of the Maldives and attract more tourists from Bangladesh and the broader South Asian region.

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation ’s participation in ATF-Dhaka aligns with its strategic objectives of promoting the Maldives as the most preferred tourist destination worldwide, increasing destination awareness, and building strong relationships with the international travel trade.
