Taman Safari Indonesia, a premier recreation and conservation park, is making its mark in the Middle East, specifically targeting Riyadh on July 28, 2024, and Jeddah on July 30, 2024. This initiative comes as Saudi Arabia shows consistent interest in Indonesian tourism, with Middle Eastern tourist numbers reaching 68% of pre-pandemic levels in 2023. Direct flights between Saudi Arabia and several Indonesian cities further bolster this effort, with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy aiming to attract 139,842 Saudi visitors in 2024.

“Saudi Arabian tourists tend to travel in large family groups with strong purchasing power and a preference for luxurious and comfortable travel experiences. They seek destinations that offer natural beauty, comfort, and ease of worship. Therefore, Taman Safari Indonesia is the main destination offered,” said Alexander Zulkarnain, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Taman Safari Indonesia.

TSI Bogor features wildlife in natural habitats and family-friendly amenities, making it a top choice for Saudi tourists. TSI Bali blends safari experiences with rich cultural heritage and stunning beaches, highlighted by the new Varuna attraction. TSI Solo offers a glimpse into Javanese history and culture with family-centric facilities. TSI Batang provides tranquil natural beauty, ideal for large families seeking relaxation. TSI Prigen combines safari adventures with mountain vistas and modern conveniences, ensuring comfort and enjoyment for visitors.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy targets 139,842 Saudi visitors in 2024. “To achieve the target of Saudi tourists, we have implemented various strategic efforts and collaborations, including with Emirates Airline. Additionally, this activity takes advantage of the momentum after the 2024 Hajj season,” said Cecep Rukendi, Director of Regional Tourism Marketing II, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

Supported by a strategic approach and backing from the Indonesian government, Taman Safari Indonesia is confident in its ability to boost Saudi visitor numbers, grow its market share, and elevate brand recognition in Saudi Arabia. This initiative aims to positively impact Indonesian tourism and reinforce Taman Safari Indonesia’s reputation as a preferred destination for Saudi tourists.
