In Vietnam, the Wafaifo Resort Hoi An, set to open on October 11, is introducing a diverse array of food, drink, branding, and entertainment options aimed at revolutionizing the dining scene in the renowned UNESCO heritage city.
This independent boutique resort will become famous for its illuminated ‘dancing’ water fountain located in front of the lobby. The fountain, which will be lit up in the evenings, will be visible to passersby and guests at the resort’s Bang Huu coffee outlet, outdoor terrace, and the Xua & Nay (Before & Now) bistro.
Xua & Nay will feature culinary creations cooked on the resort’s Josper Grill, the only one in central Vietnam. This grill is celebrated for imparting a unique charcoal-infused flavor to freshly cooked meats, seafood, and vegetables.
On the branding front, the resort will introduce its own “TASTE by Wafaifo” brand. This brand will signify quality for Pedro Luis wines from Spain, Pilsner and IPA beers, fruit juices, Savall chocolates from nearby Danang, pastries, and light snacks like dried mangoes and nuts. Locally-sourced food and drinks under the “TASTE” branding will be available for takeaway, delivery, and in-house dining.
The resort’s Swim City ‘entertain you’ activity zone will be the hub of social activity, featuring informal dining around the pool, DJ music, the Ra Khoi bar offering six draft beers (including four craft options), an eight-seat private cinema, televised sporting events, and a kids’ club with indoor and outdoor areas.
The covered alfresco terrace in front of the hotel is anticipated to attract visitors from lunch through late night, offering Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Western, and vegetarian bento platters while enjoying the illuminated water fountain show in the evenings.
The Bang Huu coffee outlet in the lobby is designed as an informal social hub and community meeting place, offering specialty coffees, teas, and cakes by Pastry Chef Thinh, alongside bento options and views of the water fountain.
The Xua & Nay urban bistro, the main dining venue of the resort, will feature ‘menus without borders’, including dry-aged meats, fermentation techniques, a mixology bar, a DJ booth, a terrace view of the water fountain show, and a private dining table for personalized meals curated by Chef Minh.
Mikkel Krantz, Commercial Director at Wafaifo, states that the dining options at the new resort reflect the rich heritage of Hoi An.
