Travel South Dakota, together with the South Dakota Retailers Association, is set to host its annual Spring Customer Service Seminars (formerly known as Spring Hospitality Training) from May 6-9. The seminars will take place in seven different locations across South Dakota.
This year, the seminars will feature Betsy Allen-Manning, a renowned author and motivational speaker. Known for her appearances on FOX, CBS, ABC, NBC, and TEDx, Allen-Manning is the founder of Corporate Culture Training Solutions in Dallas, Texas. Her expertise lies in enhancing workplace culture, enriching employee experiences, and cultivating leaders ready to thrive in competitive environments.
During the sessions, Allen-Manning will focus on improving communication, fostering relationships, and sharing strategies for handling challenging interactions effectively.
The Spring Customer Service Seminars aim to equip those in the tourism sector and related fields with the skills and motivation to provide exemplary service to both visitors and locals. The seminars are open to all who are involved in service industries in South Dakota and require no registration to attend.

Hill City: Monday, May 6, 9:30-11:00 a.m. (MST) at Diamond Spur Events Center
Belle Fourche: Monday, May 6, 3:00-4:30 p.m. (MST) at Venue 519
Rapid City: Tuesday, May 7, 8:30-10:00 a.m. (MST) at The Monument, LaCroix Hall C
Lemmon: Tuesday, May 7, 2:30-4:00 p.m. (MST) at Lonesome Dove Hall
Sioux Falls: Wednesday, May 8, 8:30-10:00 a.m. (CST) at Holiday Inn City Centre, Starlite Room
Platte: Wednesday, May 8, 2:30-4:00 p.m. (CST) at Rolling Hills Lodge
Milbank: Thursday, May 9, 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (CST) at Milbank Visitor Center
Travel South Dakota organizes these training events in various communities each year to support and develop local businesses and service providers.
